Please reconsider what you are doing and redirect your attention.
I've received enough unsolicited proselytizing. I lack the willpower to adjudge your prospectus meaningless, pointless, counterproductive, amoral, exquisitely naive, outright criminal or any combination thereof. I will not go. I will not shill. I will not buy or fund.
Your collective is a schadenfreude wellspring and your ethos is an affront to moral investment. You have enthralled countless poor and/or naive human beings and given the able and unscrupulous yet another means by which to bilk them of their resources. As widening wealth disparity births populist extremisms across the political spectrum and around the globe, your efforts are, at best, unwise.
Ask whether your work will leave the world better than you found it. If not, stop.
Blockchains are unlikely to be suited to your project. Cryptocurrencies and exchanges have thus far retarded social mobility and reduced trust in civil society. Decentralized governance has produced a litany of bungling.
Please change how you are spending your time! You can do better.
For an overview of my stance on cryptocurrencies, NFTs, blockchains, DAOs, etc., refer to the Letter in Support of Responsible Fintech Policy.
If, like me, you find these new religions by turns fascinating, alarming and maddening, I recommend the following writers. They aren’t all as cryptoallergic as I’ve become, but they are all largely skeptical:
Molly White (note also her excellent site Web3 is going just great)
Yanis Varoufakis (especially this interview)
