Covert Ops Delay-Bubble Beater:
You're in a Covert Ops frigate with a microwarpdrive & interdiction nullifier fitted.
You enter a NS system with neuts/reds in local but none on your ingate.
You don't want to activate your nullifier because grr cooldown.
However, there may be a cloaked bubbler waiting for you to initiate warp before decloaking!
You can check if anybody in local has kills with a bubbler, but you may not want to risk it.
The Procedure:
- double-click in space back toward the gate
- but not directly at it (you must avoid decloaking yourself on it)
- activate cloak & MWD
- if a ship decloaks & bubbles, use remaining MWD cycle to reappoach & jump back through
- if not, approach outgate with remaining MWD cycle & warp to a perch there
- if done with ~25% of the MWD's cycle remaining, it'll reverse your direction & kick you straight into warp
- rarely, you get a convenient spawn location from which aligning to your outgate lets you do this for free
- i.e. you spawned such that your ingate is directly between your ship & your outgate
